Kanupriya Mody, AThR is a credentialed art psychotherapist based in Mumbai, India. She holds a Master’s in Art Therapy from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with a specialization in Psychology from NMIMS.

Her clinical practice encompasses both individual and group art therapy, alongside specialized creative workshops designed to facilitate healing and self-expression for children, adults, and families. Rooted in psychodynamic art psychotherapy, Kanupriya employs a holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach. By incorporating somatic awareness and maintaining a person-centered focus, she ensures that the therapeutic process honors each client’s unique pace and lived context. Her practice is defined by a commitment to safety, attunement, and evidence-based intervention.

Kanupriya’s clinical foundations were built during her intensive training in Singapore, where she worked with displaced families at a homeless shelter; children facing complex medical challenges and non-accidental injuries, and women navigating high-risk pregnancies at a hospital. These experiences deeply ingrained her commitment to being a compassionate presence and advocacy in her work.

Beyond her clinical practice, Kanupriya serves as the Managing Editor of the Mindfulness and Psychotherapy magazine for the IJNGP (International Journal of Neurolinguistics and Gestalt Psychology), staying at the forefront of global research and contemporary developments in the field.
